WHEN WILL IT CHANGE?

How many Americans realize that people of color, males and females have fought in all branches of the military, fighting in countries so that people may have their freedom. You may say “so what?” But, the reality is that these individuals faced discrimination, hatred, and untold hardships while serving Our country and and not having the full sense of freedom and equality.

Why should Americans care? Because, these patriots suffer in silence knowing that most Americans don't walk in their shoes care! When will it change, where veterans of color are treated like their Caucasian counterparts? They're good enough to fight for their country, yet they continue higher levels of homelessness, harassment and other prejudices.

Why do I care? I have an uncle who served in WWII – returned home and didn't have the right to vote. I have other family members male and female, who served their country and I watched the pain from not having equality from their military service. They sacrificed their lives for our country, and now it appears that it was all in vain.
